There are places where the level design is superb.
Let’s talk about some of the environments. Next on my opposite list is the amount of detail. I can’t really fault them for not including a flashlight but they could have at least made sure there was enough brightness everywhere. No doubts the argument goes that it would be that way in real life, but as every developer knows you look at a list of possible features and chose the ones you think best fit the feeling you are going for. There are areas where you can’t see anything and that’s really frustrating. Yes, the new colour overlay/scheme is “hard” and realistic but I don’t feel it needed to be so polar. I found it going from almost too bright to definitely too dark. Well, where do I start? Not at the beginning in this case.
